2007 has seen the start of pro beach volleyball south of the equator in both Australia and New Zealand.  In Australia it was an Aussie-American duo coming in 2nd at  Manly Beach with Hans Stolfus and Julien Prosser. The winners of this leg of the tour were New Zealanders Kirk Pittman and Jason Lochhead.

In New Zealand at the first stop of the pro tour in Matarangi, it was the local favorites winning over the Estonian 8th ranked team.  Pittman and Lochhead will now take this momentum into the 2nd round which is at Wellington.

In Wellington, Lochhead and Pittman once again beat the Estonian pair for the title.  Over on the women's side, It was the American pair of Ivy and Lindquist winning once again, just as they had done in Matarangi.

The third stop of the New Zealand pro tour in Ohope has seen a reversal of the first two tournament finals.  The Estonian pair of Kais and Vesik from Estonia were victorious against the New Zealand pair of Lochhead and Pittman. On the women's side, The American pair of Lindquist and Ivy lost to Illustre and Pascua who were playing for the Philippines, even though this pair lives in America.

Next stop on the tour will be at Mt Maunganui, Tauranga on the 13th and 14th of January.
